This study focuses on children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, aiming to understand how education provided through fun, game-like methods can impact their health understanding and overall quality of life. Type 1 diabetes is a condition where the body doesn't produce enough insulin, a hormone that helps control blood sugar levels. This research is important as it could uncover new ways to help children better manage their condition, improving their day-to-day life and overall wellbeing. The study is planned at Ankara Etlik City Hospital and involves a group of 52 children, half of whom will receive standard education while the other half will get the same education but presented in a gamified way. The gamified education will be delivered by a trained researcher. To measure the impact, the study will use a Health Literacy Scale and a Quality of Life Scale, both specifically designed for children with diabetes. These tools will help assess the children's understanding of their condition and how well they can manage it. The results of this study could potentially lead to improved supportive care for children with type 1 diabetes.
