The PASO A PASO Pilot Study is a diabetes prevention program specifically tailored for Spanish-speaking communities. This study aims to finalize the 'Paso a Paso' protocol and materials, train a group of 10-15 instructors for the program, and test its feasibility with 30 community participants. The ultimate goal is to gather feedback, refine the intervention, and ensure it resonates with community members, paving the way for a successful larger study. This research is important as it addresses the need for culturally sensitive diabetes prevention programs in Spanish-speaking communities. During the study, participants will engage with the tailored 'Paso a Paso' program, led by trained instructors. The primary outcome measured in this study is the change in participants' weight, which will be recorded in kilograms using a calibrated Tanita WB-100A scale. This measurement helps evaluate the effectiveness of the program in promoting healthier lifestyles and preventing diabetes within the targeted community.
