This study focuses on improving the way emergency medical teams manage airways in critically ill patients before they reach the hospital in Andalusia. Advanced airway management is a crucial part of ensuring that patients can breathe properly when they are in a critical condition. The study aims to identify and correct any errors that might occur during these procedures by analyzing incidents recorded in medical registries. The ultimate goal is to enhance patient outcomes by ensuring emergency teams use the best practices to avoid complications or fatalities when managing airways. Participants in the study are members of prehospital emergency teams working in both ambulances and medical helicopters. The study observes how these teams perform intubations, which is the process of inserting a tube into a patient's airway to help them breathe. A key focus is on calculating the "first-pass intubation success rate," which measures how often intubations are successful on the first try. This data helps identify areas for improvement in training and techniques to ensure the highest quality of care. The study does not involve experimental treatments but rather aims to refine current practices for better patient safety.
