This study investigates whether mindfulness-based interventions can help reduce symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression in people with diabetes. Mindfulness practices, which involve focusing on the present moment, may offer mental health benefits for diabetic patients who often experience high levels of emotional distress. The study targets individuals in Istanbul, Turkey, and involves 140 participants divided into two groups: one receiving the mindfulness intervention and the other not receiving it. The aim is to explore alternative ways to support diabetic patients' mental health, potentially leading to improved overall well-being. Participants in the study are randomly assigned to either the intervention group or the control group. Data collection is done online using surveys and interviews conducted via Zoom. Participants' stress, anxiety, and depression levels are measured using specific scales: the Perceived Stress Scale, Beck Anxiety Inventory, and Beck Depression Inventory. These tools help assess changes in mental health symptoms before and after the intervention. The study does not mention specific risks of participating, but the potential benefit is a better understanding of how mindfulness can be used to support mental health in diabetic patients.
