Study start date: January 26, 2025
Actual date on which the first participant was enrolled. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of a natural supplement called motus in promoting weight and fat loss among adults aged 25 to 68 with a body mass index (BMI) of 25 or higher, which indicates they are overweight. The study is important as it investigates how this supplement might help people lose weight in everyday settings without requiring strict diet changes. Understanding whether motus can aid weight loss can offer a new, less restrictive option for weight management, which is a significant concern for many individuals. Participants in the study take a daily dose of four motus capsules and use apps to keep track of their food intake and exercise. There are no strict diet rules, but they can opt for nutritional advice if they wish. To measure progress, participants weigh themselves weekly and answer surveys about their quality of life. They are grouped based on their diet and exercise habits, ranging from healthy diet and frequent exercise to poor diet and no exercise. This grouping helps researchers understand how different lifestyles impact the effectiveness of the supplement. No financial reward is given for participation, making the study's findings more applicable to real-world scenarios.
