Hirsutism is a condition where women experience excessive hair growth in areas where men typically grow hair, like the face. This occurs due to higher sensitivity of hair follicles to male hormones or increased levels of these hormones. The study focuses on women with excessive facial hair, aiming to determine if using eflornithine cream together with intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment is more effective than using eflornithine cream alone. Understanding the best treatment combination could lead to improved management of hirsutism, offering women better options for reducing unwanted facial hair. Participants in the study will receive either eflornithine cream with IPL treatment or eflornithine cream alone. The cream is applied to the affected areas, while IPL is a light-based treatment targeting hair follicles. Researchers will compare the results of the two groups to assess which treatment method is more effective in reducing facial hair. This study does not specify potential risks or benefits, but it aims to identify the most efficient treatment strategy for managing excessive hair growth in women.
