Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a serious lung condition that makes it hard to breathe and leads to other health issues. It causes symptoms like constant coughing, increased mucus, and difficulty exercising. While various treatments exist, none can fully restore normal lung function. Pulmonary rehabilitation, which includes exercise training, is a recommended non-drug treatment that helps improve the quality of life for COPD patients by increasing exercise tolerance and reducing hospital visits. This study focuses on how walking and home-based pulmonary rehabilitation programs can improve anxiety levels and sleep quality in those with COPD, addressing common issues like anxiety and insomnia which many patients face. In this study, participants engage in structured walking exercises and follow a home-based rehabilitation program designed to fit their individual needs. The study aims to see if these activities can reduce anxiety and improve sleep among COPD patients. The results are measured by evaluating changes in anxiety and sleep quality, providing insights into the effectiveness of non-drug treatments in managing these conditions. This approach could offer a safe and accessible way to enhance mental health and sleep for those living with COPD, potentially leading to better overall health outcomes.
