This study focuses on the long-term success and survival of ZimVie (3i) dental implants, used for replacing missing teeth. The research aims to provide valuable insights into the stability of these implants over an extended period of 10 years or more. This is particularly important as there are many different implant designs and brands available, and understanding their long-term effectiveness can help improve dental care. The study involves patients from a private dental practice who received their dental implants between 2001 and 2013. Participants in the study will undergo both clinical and radiographic examinations. Various factors will be considered, including the patient's age, sex, medical history, smoking history, and compliance with recall appointments. The study will also look at the characteristics of the implant, such as its length, diameter, and shape, as well as any complications that may have arisen. The primary outcome of the study is to measure bone loss around the implant over time. This is important as it helps define conditions like peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis. Additionally, the study will examine patient satisfaction with their implant therapy.
