The study is focused on helping older adults who are dealing with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) by using a program called HeartMath. This program is designed to improve mental health and well-being through techniques that help manage emotions and stress. It is important because older adults often face mental health challenges, and improving their emotional and psychological health can significantly enhance their quality of life. The study takes place in elderly homes in Damanhour city, Egypt, and involves 120 older adults with PTSD. The goal is to see if participating in the HeartMath training can improve their resilience, spirituality, and overall mental well-being. Participants in the study will engage in various HeartMath techniques, including learning how to control their heart rate and practicing mindfulness and positive emotions. These activities aim to help them handle stress better and improve their emotional balance. Group workshops and personal coaching sessions are part of the program, which also encourages social support among participants. The study will measure results using different scales to assess PTSD symptoms, resilience, spiritual well-being, and psychosocial well-being. The hope is to see a significant improvement in these areas for those who participate in the HeartMath program compared to those who do not.
