This study focuses on improving motor skills in young Egyptian children aged 5 to 9 years old who have mild intellectual disabilities. These children typically show some delays in their ability to move and perform everyday tasks. The aim is to see if a program of therapeutic play activities can enhance their motor adaptive behaviors, which are crucial for daily functioning. Improving these skills can significantly impact their quality of life, enabling them to interact better with their environment and participate more fully in daily activities. Participants in the study are divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group, each consisting of 10 children. The experimental group will engage in a special program of therapeutic play activities over 24 sessions across two months, with sessions happening daily. These activities are designed to boost various skills like balance, coordination, and body awareness. A therapist will demonstrate the activities to ensure the children understand them properly. The effectiveness of the program will be measured using an evaluation tool known as VABSII, both before and after the program, to assess any improvements in the children's motor skills.
