Tracking disease incidence in order to identify risk factors and understand disease progression over time.Summary
Study start date: April 8, 2025
Actual date on which the first participant was enrolled. This study focuses on a device called GlucoTab, a tool designed to help healthcare professionals manage insulin therapy for patients with diabetes. Specifically, the study looks at how well GlucoTab works for patients with Type 2 diabetes who live in nursing homes or receive nursing care at home and need insulin therapy. The goal is to understand if GlucoTab can improve care for these patients, making insulin management easier and more effective. During the study, participants will use the GlucoTab system to manage their basal insulin therapy. The study will measure how well GlucoTab works by looking at the average percentage of fasting blood glucose levels that fall within the target range of 80 - 180 mg/dl. This range is considered healthy for people with diabetes. The study does not involve any additional invasive or stressful procedures beyond standard care.
