This study aims to help adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), who still experience symptoms despite taking medication. These symptoms can affect their work and social life. Researchers are looking into how effective group Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is for managing these symptoms. The study compares group CBT to a similar group activity that doesn't include CBT elements, to see which is more effective. This is important because finding better ways to manage ADHD could greatly improve the quality of life for those affected. Participants in the study will be randomly assigned to either the group CBT or the control group. Both groups will have the same number of sessions, conducted by equally trained therapists. Participants and outcome assessors will not know which group the participants are in, ensuring impartial results. The study will measure changes in ADHD symptoms, anxiety, depression, and overall functioning, both immediately after the intervention and at 6 and 12 months follow-up. The study will also monitor any negative effects and compare the expectations of the therapy versus the control group. A statistician will review the data periodically to determine if enough evidence has been gathered, potentially allowing the study to conclude early.
