This study explores how distance physical exercise might improve mobility and sleep quality in elderly women with high blood pressure (hypertension). Hypertension is a common condition in older adults that can affect their overall health, including their ability to move easily and sleep well. These potential improvements are important because better mobility can reduce the risk of falls, and better sleep can enhance overall well-being. The study could lead to new ways to improve the quality of life for elderly women with hypertension. Participants in the study undergo various evaluations, including measurements of weight, height, and blood pressure. Mobility is tested using the "Timed Up and Go" and gait speed tests, which help assess the risk of falling and cardiovascular health. Sleep quality is evaluated with both questionnaires, like the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and the Epworth Sleepiness Scale, and a device called an actigraph that tracks sleep patterns over a week. All procedures are conducted with safety measures in place, including the use of personal protective equipment and vaccinations against COVID-19 for both participants and researchers. These assessments help determine how effective the exercise program is in enhancing mobility and sleep quality in the target population.
