Anxiety and depression are common health issues often managed in general practice. However, challenges such as lack of continuity in care, organized collaboration between primary and secondary care, and access to psychotherapy can hinder optimal treatment. The Collabri-model, a Danish approach to collaborative care for anxiety disorders, has been developed to address these challenges. This model includes a multi-professional approach to treatment, enhanced inter-professional communication, scheduled monitoring and review, and structured treatment plans. The goal of this study is to explore if the Collabri-model can improve symptoms for individuals with anxiety disorders. The study involves three cluster-randomized clinical trials comparing the Collabri-model to standard treatment for 364 patients diagnosed with panic disorder, generalized anxiety, and social phobia respectively, all from general practices in the Capital Region of Denmark. Participants will report their anxiety symptoms using the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) at 6 months. The results of this study will provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of collaborative care for anxiety disorders in a Danish context.
