Study start date: March 1, 2016
Actual date on which the first participant was enrolled.Fatigue, or asthenia, is a significant symptom that plays a crucial role in diagnosing and monitoring patients in both routine and research-oriented clinical practice. While various questionnaires have been developed to measure fatigue, only a few have been validated in French. One such questionnaire, the Multidimensional Fatigue Inventory (MFI), has been validated in French in a single study. However, the Brief Fatigue Inventory (BFI), although translated, has yet to be validated in the French language. This study aims to psychometrically validate the French version of the BFI, which could provide a valuable tool for assessing fatigue among French-speaking patients, thereby improving their care and addressing the current lack of validated French fatigue questionnaires. In this observational study, participants will complete the French version of the BFI questionnaire. The BFI consists of nine points, each scored between 0 and 10. The primary outcome of this study is to evaluate these nine points of the BFI, which will help determine the validity and reliability of the French version of the BFI in measuring fatigue. This process will provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of the BFI in assessing fatigue among French-speaking patients.
