Criteria
2 inclusion criteria required to participate
HIV antibody or AIDS and a clinical presentation suggesting PCP
Hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with AIDS and possible Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia (PCP)
4 exclusion criteria prevent from participating
History of asthma
Inability to understand the consent procedure
Previous history of adverse reaction to pentamidine
Pulmonary Kaposi's sarcoma
