Criteria

2 inclusion criteria required to participate

Biopsy proven progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML)

HIV seropositivity by both ELISA and Western blot

3 exclusion criteria prevent from participating

Intolerant to interferon

Patients receiving interferon for other reasons

Prior or concomitant central nervous system disease (CNS) such as toxoplasmosis, multiple sclerosis (MS), or neurosyphilis
