Criteria
3 inclusion criteria required to participate
Baseline chest X-ray and EKG (electrocardiogram)
Diagnosis of AIDS and persistent Mycobacterium avium- intracellulare (MAI) bacillemia
Life expectancy of at least 3 months
9 exclusion criteria prevent from participating
Anti-inflammatory medication (except aspirin) within 4 weeks of study entry
Changes in the dose of anti-mycobacterial drugs within 4 weeks of study entry
Corticosteroids within 4 weeks of study entry
History of cardiac abnormality or disease
