Resumen
Hyperuricemia, a common metabolic disorder, can lead to gout, a condition characterized by painful joints. It occurs when there's too much uric acid in the body, either due to decreased removal or increased production. While diet control can help manage uric acid levels, it's often not sufficient. This is where Marine Active, a dipeptide extract from Bonito and Tuna, comes into play. Developed by the Yaizu Suisankagaku Industry Company, Marine Active has shown potential in reducing uric acid levels and offering anti-fatigue benefits in animal trials and early human studies. This research aims to understand how Marine Active can help manage hyperuricemia, particularly in healthy men who do not have gout but have high uric acid levels, as it's important to find effective ways to manage this condition and potentially prevent gout. In this study, healthy men will take 1 gram of Marine Active. The study is designed as a randomized, double-blind clinical trial, meaning neither the participants nor the researchers will know who is receiving Marine Active or a placebo. The main goal is to analyze the pharmacokinetics of Anserine, a component of Marine Active, by taking blood samples. This will help understand how the body absorbs, distributes, metabolizes, and excretes Anserine. By conducting this study, researchers hope to gain insights into the potential benefits and risks of Marine Active, paving the way for improved management of hyperuricemia.
