Robotic-Assisted Treadmill Training for Gait Restoration in Hemiparetic Stroke Patients

This study focuses on improving the walking ability of individuals who have experienced a stroke, specifically those with hemiparesis - a condition causing weakness on one side of the body. The study aims to compare two different types of walking therapy. One is a conventional method that includes leg strengthening exercises, stretching, and walking with a therapist's assistance. The other method uses a special treadmill called Lokomat, which works with lightweight robotic arms to help move the legs while walking. The study's importance lies in its potential to find effective ways to restore gait in stroke patients, enhancing their mobility and quality of life.
