Criteria

4 inclusion criteria required to participate
BMI < 35 and > 18.5

Type 2 diabetes mellitus

age 30-70

stable doses of medication for at least 3 months

10 exclusion criteria prevent from participating
active infection or febrile illness

allergy to iodine

history or active pancreatic diseases

history or signs of aortic aneurysm

Study Objectives

4 intervention groups are designated in this study

This study does not include a placebo group 

Treatment Groups

Group I

No Intervention
type 2 diabetics with only oral medications

Group II

Experimental
Collect mononuclear cells from bone marrow aspiration, administer to pancreas via selective catheterization to splenic artery.

Group III

No Intervention
Type 2 diabetics who need insulin therapy with oral medications

Group IV

Experimental
Collect mononuclear cells from bone marrow aspiration, administer to pancreas via selective catheterization to splenic artery.
